Model-W is designed specifically for HIGH PPFD CULTIVATION PRACTICES IN VERTICAL FARMING
The Full spectrum design covers each critical phase of growth from vegetative to flowering. An independent Far Red 730nm channel is designed to target Phytochrome Far Red in photomorphogenic lighting applications.
EXTERNAL CONTROLLABILITY

Model-W is naturally compatible with Hydro-X controllers from TrolMaster. The LMA-T lighting adaptor allows separate control for Full Spectrum and Far Red channels on the Model-W. This allows adding the Far Red light to the full spectrum to stretch plants at vegetative stage or applying a 10-15 mins exposure under Far Red after light off to help finishing the flowering cycle faster. One LMA-T adaptor can control up to 256 fixtures on the same daisy chain channel. Multiple adaptors can be applied in the same control system.
A unique Group Control feature can be achieved while connected to HCS-2 controller. All lights in the same line can be grouped up to 10 groups to be controlled individually.

The intensity of light (quantity) is often mistaken as the only factor in relation to maximising yields. But a more important factor is how well the light can be taken up by the plants and the spectral composition of the light (quality).

Light is a key parameter, and a well tuned LED light system can provide plants just what they need and result in optimal growth and production. Research has shown that plant growth can be impacted by changing the light spectrum. It can determine plant features like flavor, taste, color (depending on the anthocyanin and chlorophyll concentration),size and flowering time.

Energy Efficient
Traditional HID lights cannot adjust the spectrum and intensity specifically. Generally a mass of wavelengths is emitted, but only a few of those can actually benefit the plant’s photosynthetic rate and a big chunk of energy will go to waste as heat.

On the other hand, LEDs with great controllability is an ideal option with the potential to produce the most photosynthetically efficient light. You can adjust the light spectrum and intensity along with some other special features to create a natural environment but in a static form and give just what your plants truly need, ensuring maximized utilization of the light energy and no energy goes to waste.
 
Good Quality & High Yield
Different species in each stage of growth will require different ideal light spectrum and intensity for optimal yield and product quality.

For example, far red light can stimulate flowering, while red / far red ratio regulates stem elongation and branching, leaf expansion, and reproduction. It is also found that adding far-red light would increase the quantum yield of photosystem II by an average of 6.5% and 3.5% respectively, meaning a potential better yield.

THE LMA-T IS

To connect ThinkGrow LEDs to the Hydro-X systems, a LMA-T lighting adaptor is required to utilize the two channel control, which allows separate control for full spectrum and second red output levels on ThinkGrow LEDs.

LIGHTING CONTROL ADAPTOR T(LMA-T)
The LMA-T should be connected to the lighting control ports Line 1 & 2 on HCS-1 and HCS-2. Once connected, users can then set the ON/OFF times and dimming settings for the full spectrum and Second red LEDs individually.

The LMA-T is then connected to an RJ type lighting control cable where each of the LEDs are connected back to the controller in a daisy-chain configuration using plug-and-play connections

One adaptor can run up to 256 ThinkGrow LEDs.
